A wonderfully unusual plant with its rounded, flat growing leaves and paintbrush of white to pale pink flowers. Summer-growing and best planted in shade.Tolerates poor soil, but needs good drainage. Both foliage and flowers are highly ornamental.

Beautiful shrub with purple leaves in winter that contrast well with dark red tube flowers. Fast growing, drought resistant, but responds well to regular watering and feeding with slow release 3:1:5 organic or chemical fertilizer . Good pot subject as it flowers for most of the year. Prune to keep neat.
