Afrikaans: Besemriet
Graceful grasses, with much branched stems arching to one side. Usually found along streams, they do well in a variety of garden conditions and make beautiful, low maintenance, feature plants. Plant in full sun, well drained position and feed with slow release 3:1:5 or organic fertiliser and water regularly for best results.
Location: Cederberg Mnt. to south of Durban

A tall, bamboo-like Restio with thick, sturdy stems up to 3m tall that branch to give a striking, feathery effect. It needs a sunny position and is ideal to use as a form plant in damp soil. In nature it is commonly found along streams or on wet mountain slopes.
