A lovely shrublet with spikes of showy, sage-like, pale mauve to white flowers giving a cool, frilly appearance in the heat of the summer. Attracts butterflies. Very tough and undemanding. Plant in full sun.

Tall shrub to 2m with small leaves and densely packed spikes of butterfly-shaped flowers with pink, lilac and white markings from early spring to mid-summer. Very ornamental. Plant in a sheltered warm position, prune in winter to shape, mulch, feed with slow release 3:1:5 and water regularly in summer.
