Holmskioldia tettensis (=Karomia speciosa)

A fast-growing shrub, usually reaching 3-4m best kept to about 1m rounded shape through regular pruning. Unusual, but very beautiful, red or yellow hat-shaped flowers cover the bush in summer. Likes a well drained sunny position. Feed and water regularly for best results, especially during summer.

This fast spreading ground cover is a good substitute for the well known "daisy lawn", only better in that it grows fast and equally well in sun or shade is water wise and has well known medicinal properties! It has round or kidney shaped leaves and has a creeping habit. Although waterwise and hardy, it responds well to regular watering and feeding with high nitrogen organic or chemical fertiliser.

English: Ribbon Bush

Lovely purple flowers in autumn ±1. 5m, easy, fast growing shrub for full sun or semi-shade. Feed with slow release 3:1:5 chemical or organic fertilizer and water regularly. For best results, prune hard after flowering in winter.
